...response to Hurricane Katrina? I bet it was the 'liberal media' that held him up. Good thing it wasn't a member of our liberal media that threw that shoe, otherwise Bush would of gotten hit right between the eyes and nulled his senses....and we sure as hell wouldn't want that to happen

The idiots at the local level dropped the ball period.

The blame starts and ends with mayor Ray Nagin and Governor Kathleen Blanco.

I am glad he dodged the shoe.. too bad the dem Gov, and dem mayor, and the Citizens of NOLA, were not as agile, or smart... THEY should have ducked as well.. ducked right on out... but nope, so let's blame Bush!!!!!

Wow...

The feds told them to leave before katrina made land fall and the state and city government failed. The simple fact is that these people have ridden out so many of these things they were know longer scared of them there for they stayed. so you cant really blame one man for all that misery. Theres alot of blame to go around starting with the Mayor and going up from there.......But let me make a suggestion if and when your told that a class 5 hurricne is headed for your town fire up all those school busses that were parked and get the heck out of dodge.

Blah blah blah! The liberal media this! The liberal media that! It's so easy to blame other, right?

Listen i hate bush but you sound like an idiot. You see a shoe you dodge it. A hurricane is a bit different you can't compare the two.

Brownie was in charge, "heck of a job Brownie". This was a Federal issue.

Because he didn't care about the people affected by Katrina but he knew getting a shoe upside the head would hurt him.

First, I'm not a fan of the Bush family and don't support either person (though I support the office). However...

These two can not be compared.

The people of New Orleans knew on Friday that they needed to leave. They knew Katrina was coming. They let thousands of school buses flood that could have easily hauled them out but the Mayor chose to send them to the dome. Amtrak offered to stop and pick them up as they were running empty trains through the city but again Nagle said no.
Why anybody thinks this is the fault of the president is beyond me. I live in FL and we rely on the National Weather Service to advise us when to leave. It is not the Presidents job to control the weather. The responsibility for the fiasco belongs to the Governor and the Mayor, not the president.
