Newbie here, hello everyone
I am 34 and have suffered with bad acne since I was 30 years old. My dermo prescribed Spiro for me and it has generally worked very well at controlling it, I still get break outs but no where near as bad. I was told that I need to stop taking it at least 3-6 months before trying to concieve due to the ieffects that the ingredients in the spiro could have on the foetus.
I have seen an endocrinologist also who recommended Loestrin 20 for me as a way of helping my skin problems whilst I am off the spiro. Then when I am ready to concieve I can just stop taking Loestrin.
I am really worried that now I have stopped my skin problem will reappear over the next few months and whilst pregnant. Has anyone had any experience on this or any advice at all?
Thanks
Sam
