My situation: my parents will let me get a phone if I can pay for it. They want me to get T-Mobile, and they want it to be a pre-paid plan.
So my questions are:
1) How old do I have to be to be able to get a sim card and apply a pre-paid plan on it? (I'm going to get the $70/month plan; unlimited data, texting, and calling). I already have a phone, so that's not an issue.
2) Is there a difference between a sim card for a pre-paid plan and a sim card for a regular contract plan? If there is, how do I differentiate the two when asking at the counter to buy one?
And thirdly, just explain the process of buying the sim card for a pre-paid monthly plan and how it works, etc.
