I am a dishwasher/busser/prep cook at this restaurant I have been working at for about a month. It is my first restaurant job and I know very little about cooking...mostly I bus tables and wash dishes but the chefs have been needing me more often for helping in the kitchen, so it would be nice if I could get just a few basic things that EVERYONE should know. Like, temperatures that meats need to be cooked at, or the proper way to cut a tomato or apple quickly, or how to sautee or make a glaze...stuff like that. I know that most of the stuff I will just naturally learn by watching the chefs, but it would be nice if you could just take a moment to give me a couple extra hints.
