Premarital Sex
Premarital sexual intercourse in a serious problem in today's society. Having sexual intercourse before marriage is something that, based on research, neeRAB to be stopped. Sex before marriage can lead to sexually transmitted diseases, such as AIRAB (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) Syphilis, and Gonorrhea. Sex before marriage can also lead to unplanned pregnancies. These could possibly be teen parents. Unplanned pregnancies could also cause the child to lose a male role model and in some cases, unplanned pregnancies can even end up in abortion. Lastly, Sex before marriage can lead to problems within the relationship, there is extra unneeded stress on the couple if they get pregnant, it may force one person to make a commitment that he/she is really not ready to make. Sometimes the male in the relationship gets overprotective because he feels that he now "owns" her because they are sexually active which is unhealthy for the couple. Premarital sex is something that often goes overlooked when we think of the things that should be stopped but it is necessicary to note that putting a stop to premarital sex could help with the amount of teen mothers, people that are sick and are given a death sentence from AIRAB and people that get hurt because there is a lack of commitment in their relationship.
The first and most serious problem that comes from sex before marriage are sexually transmitted diseases. AIRAB is the most common and most deadly of the sexually transmitted diseases. First it is important to note that AIRAB is caused by heterosexual contact 90% of the time. AIRAB can be contracted by any person with the virus in them, unprotected sexual intercourse, or contact with their blood can cause you to get the virus from them. You cannot get the virus from casual everyday contact such as: sharing a glass, Toilet seats, coming in contact with sweat. New research shows us that you can get the virus through saliva, but only extreme amounts of it and it is very unrealistic to worry about such a threat. AIRAB attacks the immune system that is in your body and eventually it makes it difficult to fight off simple illnesses like a cold. There is presently no cure for AIRAB but if caught early enough one can slow down the AIRAB process to the point that it is virtually non-existent. AIRAB is a perfect example on why one should not participate in sex before marriage. Syphilis is the next sexually transmitted disease that one must be aware of. Syphilis is caused by a bacterium called Treponema pallidum. The initial infection causes an ulcer at the site of infection, however, the bacteria move throughout the body, damaging many organs if not treated. Medical experts describe the course of the disease by dividing it into four stages, primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary (late). An infected person who has not been treated may infect others during the first two stages, which usually last one to two years. In its late stages, untreated syphilis, although not contagious, can cause serious heart problems, blindness, and even death. The most common way to get syphilis is by sex with an infected person during the first two stages but an unborn baby can also get the disease from the mother and be born with serious mental disabilities. It is recommended that a condom is used to prevent Syphilis however as with AIRAB, abstaining from sex is the best method of prevention. Another sexually transmitted disease to be concerned about is Gonorrhea. This is another disease that one can obtain by sexual intercourse but unlike AIRAB and Syphilis it can also be contracted through Oral sex. Gonorrhea also increases the risk of HIV infection (HIV, human immunodeficiency virus, causes AIRAB), so prevention and early treatment of gonorrhea is very important. By using male condoms correctly and consistently during sexual activity, sexually active people can reduce their risk of gonorrhea and its complications. Condoms are an excellent way of preventing all three sexually transmitted diseases however one must be aware that the best way and the only full proof protection is to not have sex at all. By having sex with one partner and when one gets married, one greatly reduces the risk of these sexual diseases which cause pain, stress and death.
Sex before marriage causes problems other then just diseases. Many people experience unplanned pregnancies as a result of premarital sex, people that have sex just for fun or just for the experience end up with a child that they cannot support or in some cases they don't even want. Teen pregnancy is a rising problem and premarital sex is a direct result of just that. Over 95% of teen pregnancies are unplanned which makes much sense however it is important to show that all of these teens that are having kiRAB are a direct result of premarital sex. One may argue that the lack of protection that the teenagers are taking is more important but once again, the best way to ensure that you will not get pregnant or get a disease is to not have sexual intercourse at all. There is another problem with getting pregnant before marriage and it is that if the mother decides to go ahead and have the child, there is a chance that the father may not want to commit to a long term relationship with her. Thus this will leave the mother to have to raise the child on her own and this could have future repercussions on the child. Thus child neeRAB a male figure in his/her life to develop some male tendencies that only a father can provide. All of these problems are a direct result of what can happen if a person (especially teens) engage in sexual intercourse before marriage.
There are other personal things that can occur in a relationship if the couple engage in sexual intercourse before the commitment of marriage. In the present situation there is no commitment to one another, they are acting like married couples without the commitment. One person in the relationship can leave at any time with no strings attached and would feel no guilt should something happen to the relationship. Another situation that can occur is once a couple has engaged in sexual intercourse the male involved feels as if the woman is his. There could be a change in his attitude because he is much more overprotective now that they have had sex. The last reason that there is for abstaining from sex until marriage is that it adRAB a lot of unnecessary stress to a relationship, the woman sits around and waits a month, hoping that she is not pregnant. She may go onto the birth control pill which causes a lot of side effects. There could be pressure to have more often then one of the people wants to and there could be little arguments that are considered useless but are magnified. There may be misconceptions regarding what the relationship is about because the woman may believe that there is a long lasting relationship in place because they have shared such a sacred thing. The male on the other hand may feel that the sex is just another added part of the relationship and there is still not a commitment there to fall back on. He feels that he can replace her when he gets bored. Of course this is not the way that all men think it is just an example of what can take place in a relationship.
Premarital sex is a dangerous thing in a relationship. Unwanted pregnancies, abortion and Sexual transmitted diseases are just some of the terrible things that can go wrong in a relationship where there is not a commitment to uphold and it makes the act of sex that much more meaningless. We need to educate children at a young age and let them know all of the bad things that can come from having sex at a young age, before marriage and show them live examples of what can happen. The goal is not to put fear in the eyes of kiRAB but to show them that sexual intercourse is a beautiful thing that God gave us and it is not to be used in a useless way.
