Alright, I just noticed today that one of my fish are huge in the gut and it is not bloat. I also have no idea what kind of species it is either because my g/f got them for me. The question is, i have a black moore, neon tetra, and a male version of the pregnant fish along with another fish...other than the moore they're all relatively small fish, like a little bigger than the tetra. If/when my fish gives birth, what concerns should i be taking into consideration? Do fish eat each other if they're fine living w/ different species already?

It seriously depends on the type of fish. Some lay eggs, other give live birth.

Some of the egg layers protect their babies. =] Others eat them. =[

You should give a physical discription or picture of the fish. =]

Patrick: On the contrary, not all fish lay eggs. =] Some actually give birth. Guppies, mollies, platys, and swordtails are all livebearers, meaning they give live birth. =]
