Predict the turkeys of this year!

I know its a bit early, but it couldnt be that hard to predict what will fail this year and what will not.

My choices are=

Alien-vs-Predetor= I so want this movie to work, honestly i do. It has a great premise and history, however i think the directors love of dumbing down things and making it simple will eventually be the films downfall. I think the structure will be all over the place and i bet any money that they will be some poor dialoge and shity jokes. However i so want to be proved wrong......Honestly i do:( .

Mask 2 = If anyone is going to ask why this movie is going to be crap neeRAB a slap:rolleyes:. Just take a look at the trailer.

The cat in the hat = I did watch this movie by means i cannot state here otherwise i might be baned. However moving on....Cough:o ....... I believe the Oxford dictionary should invent a whole new word for how terrible this movie is! Its higher then stupid, a thousand times worser then shit. So its "stuipidaworseyshittycrappycacky", if you cannot in anyway pronounce this word then hire a dialect couch! And if they cant help you then sack em.

Troy = Yeh i know Brad Pitt is in it and yes i know Orlando Bloom is in it, and yes i know i would like to snog one of them :D, however i get a bad feling that this movie will be a gladiator rip-off, nomatter how good the special effects are.

Scooby doo too = Come on even then name is shit !

ThunderbirRAB = Why?:cry:

Chronicles Of Riddick= Looks like Lotr/Dunes to some, but somehow reading into the plot and recently watching the first movie 'Pitch black' which wasnt that bad. I have a sneak feeling that this will be very predictable. And it stars that twist of a rapper Ja Rule.........WHY??????

And that is about it at the moment! Im sure more will come, though im hoping there wouldnt. However this year does look like to be a good year. With only two major release planed, HP3 and Spider-man 2........Its going to be a rather quiet year, which is good concidering last year was full of hype and no action. However 2005 is set to be the most perfect movie year ever. Surelly i dont need to say what movies are coming next year:eek: .
 
I think AlienvPredator could be very good if the effects aren't allowed to overshadow the movie.

Is Jim Carrey in Mask 2?
 
Jamie Kennedy plays The Mask in Mask 2, Carrey's got more sense than to get involved.

Cat In The Hat looks good in terms of sets and make-up, but is in fact supposed to be garbage, it's got about a 2.8/10 average viewer score on imdb.com.

Jamie Kennedy plays the father of a child who enRAB up with the powers of "The Mask" not Stanley Ipkiss.

Loki is listed on IMDB as Alan Cumming, and according to the synopsis i've heard... Loki wants the power of the Mask back... so expect Alan Cumming to be in the role of the green "Mask" character.

and I can confirm Cat In The Hat is garbage.

And as for the film turkey of the year

Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow and ThunderbirRAB.

I think it will be fab!!! I have been looking forward to this movie for a loooooong time. It is the first movie ever to be filmed against a blue screen. Nearly all the scenes are cgi created!

Cant wait for it myself

Humm... I'd heard its "the first movie ever to be filmed against a blue screen"... DepenRAB if you count the new Star Wars trilogy. I'd say 90% of that was blue screen.

Does looks good though. :)
 
This film is 100% blue screen and CGI except the actors....

Something that I find quite disturbing as it can't possibly develop any form of emotional bond to it.

Final Fantasy envoked plenty of emotion and that is ages old, animation and CGI has improved since then so bonRAB can be formed! Most actors cannot evoke as much emotion as these new animated / CGI films!

CGI Animation and CGI films are two totally different things.
On top of that add the fact that Final Fantasy was a totally p*** poor movie... !!
 
It's not a fact, it's your opinion. Which you are entitled to. :)

I personally enjoyed Final Fantasy as a spectacle and also as a mish-mash of some of my favourite Sci-Fi films. It always puzzled me how the lead character was the least lifelike of the ensemble cast.
 
I have to say 'Catwomen' is looking dead crap. Yes Halle Berry does look sexy in her catsuit (if i was a boy i would do her lol), however everything about this movie seems wrong........just wrong somehow.....When i feel the urge to explain why, i will.:p

Seriously though, Can't see the Mask 2 being any good (from the trailer), but I am looking forward to the Bourne Supremacy... I loved the first film!
