I'm looking to buy a car and have fallen in love with a 2010 Challenger SE (I reeeaaally don't need more than a V6). The car only has 6,000 miles, getting a good deal on it.... and it has had 2 owners, both personal, not a rental.
The first owner had it for 4 months.
The second owner had it for 2 weeks.
The dealership (of course) says that it was recently returned only a couple of weeks after purchase because the guy decided he wanted a Hemi. They didn't mention the first owner, and I didn't know to ask because I hadn't seen the carfax til I got home.
I plan on asking them about it tomorrow, but my question to you all is....Is this a red flag? In my mind, the reason to return a car you purchased brand new would be for mechanical failures. I mean...BOTH owners had it for such a short time. I test drove it for about an hour...felt great. No vibrations, no noises....what do you guys think?
Also, it's under warranty...if it had mechanical issues...they should be taken care of under the factory warranty. "Bumper to bumper" (I know...there's no such thing haha) and the PowerTrain.
