To counter our anger (me and my friend) of not being able to play Halo 2 because I didn't have it and my friends step mom took the xbox cables away the day he bought it. We beat a ton of levels on heroic and legendary only using melee. The original game is seriously no fun anymore because thats how easy it is.
I've played it, its kinda easy on normal, but we haven't tried herioc or legendary yet. Game sure is long though, but funner. We played for 6 hours and got halfway through it. Good pvp game.
Bump mapping has been around for years. I don't know what the first game was that included it, but I know it has been around in movie studios like Pixar for A LONG TIME.
Daikatana was the first game to have truly HUGE levels (Not by time of release, but in time of development). That dates back to 1996, so please, that is hardly revolutionary.
On a side note, most of Daikatana's levels are bigger than Doom 3, and much more fun.
All bashing aside, it looks like a great game, but I'm gonna wait for it to come out for PC.
I'm amazed at how they did it...The XBox only has 64MB of memory, and 16-32MB of that are shared with the VPU (Depending on how you code your game). It's gonna be REALLY funny seeing Doom 3 run on that thing . Good luck Carmack, you're gonna need it.
Yeah well.. Halo was the first game I really enjoyed.. I could play hours and not get bored.. And I found out about it like when I was 5... I'm 16 now.. My brother told me about something called "Halo" and it was for the first iMac ever.. I've like known about Halo ever since I could think.
