Hi, my 14 mos. old son was diagnosed with cancer (Retinoblastoma) on Nov. 12, and now we are having some problems with the insurance company, they have been sending us letter asking for medical records from two weeks before my baby was born up to the present time.
The letter that I received today says:
Waiting period observed: through 3/30/2011
We have received a request for preauthorization of benefits for the service indicated above ( He started quimo on nov 2 and 3rd). However, we require additional information because the patient’s coverage has a pre-existing condition waiting period.
So what does all that means??
Imagine, all these has been very painful, but we have faith our son will be ok.
Please if you can explain the letter to me, that would be very helpful.
I went to the Dr. on Wednesday and they were going to fax all his medical records.
