How would you prove that the square root of 23 is irrational?
The teacher did something similar in class, but with the sqrt of 35; she took 5 as a factor of 35 and did something with it... not sure how that would lead me to a solution here since 23 is prime.
Any ideas?
I realize I can just type it into a calculator. The exercise is to prove it WITHOUT one.
