Solve for x:
1. Log x = 5
I got 10^5 which is 100,000.
2. In x = 10
I got e^10 which is 22,026.4658

3. Find the value of log 0.001
I got -3.

4. Find the exact value of In ^5sqrt e. I don't know how to type it down, but just think of a power 5 on the square root sign with an e to the right of the square root.
I got 1/5.

5. The number of bacteria present in a culture after t minutes is given as B= 1000e^kt, where k is a constant. If there are 5992 bacteria present after 5 minutes, find k.

[a]0.358 8.952 [c]0.346 [d]1.79
I got a; 0.358, it's the closest one I believe.

6. What is the solution to 7^x= 4^x-8?
[a]-19.8178 -3.3282 [c]-9.9089 [d] None of these
Unfortunately, I don't understand it. D:

7. What is the solution to 5^x= 3^x+6?
[A]9.0000 2.4341 [C]12.9040 [D]None of these
I didn't understand it either. I plugged them in.

8. Find the exact value of In e^8.
I got 1/8.

9. The half-life of a radioactive element is 131 days, but your sample will not be useful to you after 90% of the radioactive nuclei originally present have disintegrated. Using the half-life function M(x)=c(0.5)x/h, about how many days you can use the sample?
[A]435 440 [C]445 [D]450
I don't know where to start on this, just messes me up.
