I have quite a lot of problems [like the following] that I can't really wrap my head around so maybe someone could help me out? It'd be great if you could show me how to do it too. Thanks for the help 
1) Show that 1+2+4+...+2^(n-1) = 2^
-1
2) Sn= n^(2)+4n ; find t1, t2, and t3
1) Show that 1+2+4+...+2^(n-1) = 2^
-12) Sn= n^(2)+4n ; find t1, t2, and t3
