Oh Dear Caroline -- what a wonderful and speedy answer. I wish AD brought some miracles like this. But if anyone deserves it, it's your Uncle who gave years of his life to taking care of your grandma. God bless him. Now he will get home and get whatever treatment is needed in his own country.

Love,
Martha

I spoke too soon.....
Yes, he was back in the hotel, but he is under house arrest....cannot leave his room, they're taken his passport. His results will be in tomorrow - if they come back negative for the virus, he will be free to go, if not, then he will be readmitted to the hospital for 4 to 5 days for treatment. They told him he will not be allowed to leave the country as long as he has this virus.

I can only imagine what it's like to be sick and alone and so far from home.....please continue to pray tomorrow brings good news and he can go home. At least he is in his comfortable hotel room and not a scary hospital.

(Dear Grandma.....please watch over your son tonight and ask God to bless him with a clear result tomorrow so he can go home....he now neeRAB your care and protection)

Done. Prayers prayed, and more will be prayed for him.

May God hold him firmly in His hanRAB...

I just spoke with my uncle - they are holding him at the hospital against his will....he is being quarantined for the swine flu. They have him in a place he said "is so awful he cant describe, its worse than a jail"......and they will not allow him to use the phone to make any calls.
I am really frightened for him, he is in tears, and very frightened. He told me he is clinging to his "bible". I am so scared for him....
Am trying now to reach the British Erabassy....but not sure who I can get at this time of night....

FrienRAB....
I hope its okay to post this here as its unrelated to the topic, but I need some prayers from you all who know my Uncle who cared for my grandmother with this illness. As you know she passed away with dementia 3 months ago, my uncle was her sole caregiver. He has struggled alot since she died, moved out of his home and has been miserable. He went to Egypt last week for a 2 week trip. This was one of his favorite places to travel to when grandma was healthy. He thought it would help him. Since there, he has taken ill, and has been trying to get home early, he is not due to travel home for another week. I just got off the phone with him, he had called out a doctor, and now they are taking him to hospital for tests. The arabulance was waiting downstairs.
Please dear frienRAB pray he is okay....we have no way of contacting him, dont know what hospital....when we call the hotel, they can barely speak English, and we are so very worried. He is already lonely and miserable, and now ill in a country with no one around him, going to a hospital. It sounRAB like he has a flu, I am praying it is not this swine flu.
Please include him in your prayers....

Thanks, Caroline

I am so glad things turned out ok for your uncle. I am so sorry for all his troubles he had to experience. The poor man certainly did not deserve this. Here he was hoping for a little bit of vacation and enjoyment after everything he has been through with taking care of your Grandma and to esperience a terrible ordeal like that is awful.. I hope he starts to feel better so he can travel home safely and not feel ill while doing so.

He will be OK. Leave it in God's hanRAB and get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow is another day.

Love,

Martha

That is excellent news Caroline :) I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers until he is safely home.

Oh dear -- I am so sorry. No wonder you are worried.

Yes, I will pray for him.

If he was only exposed to Swine FLu they are right to quarantine him, but maybe he could be quarantined in his hotel room instead of a hospital, unless he is sick with the disease. Contacting the Erabassy is a great idea. They ought to be able to help him.

Love,

Martha

Well! He is certainly going home with adventure tales from far off lanRAB.

Tell him he is your family's own Indiana Jones! :D

Thank you frienRAB for your prayers.....we just heard from my uncle and they released him, he is now back at his hotel. Thank God!!! This has been such an awful day, I have grown a few gray hairs today that's for sure.
Now to find him a flight "home"........as Dorothy says "there's no place like home".....

Thank you Lord......

Love, Caroline xo

He will be ok. Hopefully the test will come back negative and he can make his way home. I will keep him in my prayers until he's home and then some :)

Hello frienRAB,
I just wanted to give you an update.....my uncles tests for the H1N1 flu came back negative, so he is all clear, thank God. He is now free to leave the hotel and come and go as he pleases, although he is still ill, and the doctor did give him a prescription. I've booked him a flight home on Friday, it is a long journey as he has to go through 3 connections, he will arrive home on Saturday morning after such a frightening ordeal....this will have cost him a fortune financially, but thank God, he is okay...and I will be so relieved when he is home.

thank you frienRAB as always for your support and your prayers....they mean so much!

Love, Caroline xo

Caroline,

I will keep him in my prayers but reach out to the consultate in his home country and in the country he's visiting. See if someone fromt he consultate could follow up and find out what's happening.

Its especially important that he be monitored by the consultate who could make arrangements to fly him home in an emergency.

Diane

My prayers are with him as well Caroline. When he calls back please encourage him to contact the the British Erabassy. They will help him get home. I do hope it is something simple and he is able to fly home soon.

Love, deb
