I just recently had my entire power steering system repaird on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it WOULD have cost me (warranty) around $800 for parts and labor.
I would imagine you should start with the basic of problems. How much power steering liquid do you have? What kind, and is it a good quality kind? Check the power steering system and see if it is leaking. Is the steering wheel doing something wrong? You should just trace everything around to see what part is making it unresponsive, or hard to turn. Good luck!
