By now I've researched that this is a very common problem among Chevy Cobalts - the power steering going out & having to be replaced.
Are there many cases where that DIDN'T solve the problem?
Anyone have an idea around how much that's gonna cost (to replace the whole steering column)?
Can it be done by someone who has a fairly good knowledge of cars, NOT a mechanic but has done other things like replace rack/pinion steering problems etc., or is it really too difficult?
