power button on my xbox 360 keeps on cutting it's self Off and flashing red

what does this mean? on my power button of my xbox 360 it has the red ring of deth so ome peoe call it my system is fairly new what should I do?
 
your xbox is buggered, its the red ring of death, means the silicon chip in ur xbox as melted due to overuse. youll hafta get a new one unfortuantley.
 
Get it looked at ASAP, even if its new there can be somthing wrong with it, as long as you have a warrenty, they will just simply give you a new one, so as long as the hardrive is fine, you wont lose much of anything.
 
To be safe. Send it back into microsoft, they will fix it for free. Also learning how to spell is a good skill to have in life
