Hi,
I am going to the USA in 2010, and am going to book it next year. However, as u are probably aware the exchange rate is high at the moment, and is going down.
If I exchange say 700 pounds into dollars for 2010 is this a good idea?
At the moment it would work out as : £700 x 1.96=$1379
Also if I change them back this be
$1379 divided by 1.96? Is that the correct way to work it out, if so, in 2010 I do not end up going and the exchange rate has gone down, (therefore i transfer my dollars back into pounds) I come off better anyway?
(Say went down to 1.6- 1379 divided by 1.6 = £861
Therefore I gain £160...
Is this correct and any tips on if this is a good idea? As In my opinion over the next years the exchange rate can only go down?
