Potential swollen submandibular?worried!

Hi, i was washing my face a few days ago and as i moved along my jaw on my right side i felt a lump inbetween my ear and chin, its as if it is coming up out of my jaw bone and into my gum underneath my molers! you cant see that there is a lump there and it doesnt hurt, but the more i push my cheek i can feel it more and wonder if it feels more like a gland, rather than my initial thought of it being a random tooth growing! on my gum literally above where i can feel it, there is a massive slit/cut in my gum that dont kno how got there and has been sore, also some way behind it i have had wisdom teeth pushing thru! but now the pain has stopped!

im really worried about what this could be! i dont really have a sore throat or anything, but the gland in my neck on my right side is always always up even if im not sick, the doc said sumtimes that just happens! i havent been to the docs about the new lump, but wondered if anyone had any advice before i go?
 
You might have had an infection with your wisdom teeth pushing through that caused your gland to swell. They can take a while to go down after the infection has cleared. If it doesn't start reducing in size after a few days you may need some antibiotics. All the best.
 
hayt thanx, wow ur the only person thats replied! lol well i went to the docs and he sd if it doesnt go down after 4 weeks il hav to hav a biopsy which is always nice, and it had seemd to hav gone down but is now bak! im not sure really if id just hoped itd gone . .so im off bak to the docs, bit scared now tho! but thank uu, hopefully ur right :)
