posting a status on facebook with a cell phone???

i have a at&t plan with no internet and no internet access on the phone. could i just text in my status if i was not by a computer? would it cost? i know you can on facebook but i just want to know if it charges or is it just a text message charge?
my at&t cell phone plan has unlimited textmessages. no maultimedia messages. and NO internet
