I had a Rhizotomy procedure done 3 weeks ago, on my neck as well as lower back. Whithin the first week I used the prescribed pain killers for post procedure discomfort. However from about the second week I started experiencing the worst pain ever in my lower back area. At first I thought it was only at the point where the Rhizotomy took place, but it soon appear to be all around my groin area as well.(It felt like someone kicked me between the legs, only the pain stayed there, and is still extreme even today)
I went back to the neurologist who did the procedure, he did some pin prick tests and tested the movement of my legs. He then said it was not my back, but surely a urological problem. He send me to a urologist, who did blood tests and send me for a sonar scan. All of these tests prove negative.I then went to my GP who suggested it could be post Rhizotomy inflamation of the nerves in the area of the procedure. However after two courses of "Dicloflam" tablets
there is still no improvement. Problem is I have to take an almost two hour journey by car to my office in Jrabroad and then spend the day seated infront of my computer as I am a graphic artist doing computer animation graphics. I experience severe "backache/groinpain especially while in seated position.
