Post Parathyroidectomy

Hello all. I just had my 2nd Parathyroidectomy on 6/15/09 and want to see if anyone is experiencing the same side effects that I am having.
It still feels like my left arms and other limbs on and off are asleep/numb. I called my surgeon last Thursday and they had me to immediately go to the ER and have my calcium drawn. It was normal at 8.1 but still feel the same. I am still pretty weak and they told me to increase my daily calcium intake. My PTH levels went from 337 to 9.7 and I am on Chewable Oscal Calcium tablets. Please let me know what you are are taking post-operation and how you are feeling. I am suppose to go back to work tomorrow but don't feel like I am ready yet. Also include your recovery time.

Six months later, I am still having the same thing. My hands and feet still get numb and tingly. My heart started pounding a bit too....so I started taking the Calcium again. I was laid off of my job in February...and no longer have health insurance. So, I'll just take the Calcium and hope for the best.
