Kyphoplasty should correct the problem so that when you walk out of the office, you're no longer in pain. Did you have this due to osteoporosis? You might have some other fractures going on in there. I suggest giving your doctor a call.
You might get more responses to this question over on the osteoporosis board. Most of us here are dealing with fusion surgery, laminectomies, and other similar surgeries.
