I was eating chicken breast that my mom made tonight and I took a bit and swallowed. I geuss i didnt chew enough because i felt something small but sharp go down my throat, more on the left side of my throat. I didnt choke or anything. But one time my dog ate something sharp, and we were told that if something sharp is swallowed it can open up your insides causing yout o bleed. I dont think ive ever swallowed a bone before, at least one thats noticable. Is it bad ? What should I be looking for symptom wise if its something to be concerned about?
Thanks in advance.

You may have scratched your throat from swallowing the bone, but once it reaches the stomach, it will either be digested or eliminated in feces. A dog's ingestion of chicken bones is a bit different. While it may perforate the lining of the stomach, in most cases the worry is based on the inability to pass the bone through their digestive system, causing a blockage, and then resulting in gastric torsion which can be fatal. Monitor your feces to check for blood or pinkness. Chances are you'll be fine. My silly dog once ingested a whole chicken carcass. He was fine, but once it passed, he did have a bit of discomfort and bleeding.
