Hello. I have been looking up information on UTI. However, I am not sure if I have UTI since I do not have all the listed symptoms that I have seen. [I am about 90% sure I have it]
I have a frequent urge to pee [at least 2-3 times when I usually do 1], burning sensation as I finish pee-ing, a hint of blood on toilet paper, and a dull, lower back pain [once I start moving, it goes away]. No fever, vomiting, or chills. I have started wearing pads to catch the "dribbles" that come before I can sit on the toilet. I am due for my period about now, but I also have a history of irregular periods. I am not sexually active, and consider myself a virgin [my boyfriend and I have kept it to "fingering"].
So my question is, do I have UTI, and if yes, what should I do?
I have read that I should drink lots of water and cranberry juice, and take vitamin C, since cranberry juice and vitamin C create an acidic environment for the bacteria. But what else should I do? Other than visiting the doctor [which I'd rather I not have to do]?
Thanks in advance for your guys' help!! I am a college-aged female, if that changes anything.
ps- I forgot to mention. The burning sensation that comes as I finish pee-ing, it's for a short time, more more than one minute.
Gosh dang, I can't type. It should be "ps- I forgot to mention. The burning sensation that comes as I finish pee-ing, it's for a short time, no more than one minute." Thanks again!!
