Sorry guys, unfortunately I don't know the model # of the tv (I'm not at home), but it is a 42' Panasonic Plasma tv.
I've read up on the whole burn-in issue with plasma tv's, and am not sure if you'd classify what is going on as Image retention or burn-in, so I thought I'd ask people who definitely know more about tv's than me.
Here's the deal, the "image" that seems to be burned in is at the bottom right and bottom left of my screen. I've identified it as the radar and health gauges from the game Mass Effect (through my xbox). Here is a picture of what the two images would be:

So my dilemma is that the circle that makes up the radar seems to be burned in, as well as those health bars. It just seems odd, because I've been playing it for over a month now, and it never burned in. Yet low and behold yesterday, I find those images in the bottom corners.
I'll just throw these out there before they are said:
The TV is NOT in its first 200 hours...it's easily around 500 at this point.
I turn my tv off when I get up to go to the bathroom, take a phone call, etc.
The problem I see is that in a game such as Mass Effect, any time you are in combat/walking around, that radar and your health bars are on the screen. However, it isn't like this is on there for hours at a time. Any cutscene, dialogue, traveling from place to place, etc is a completely different image. I would say that it is never on the screen for more than 15/20 minutes at a time.
Anyway, I've tried doing that anti-image retention thing that is built into the tv. Where it does the white bar that goes across the screen over and over for 15 minutes. Didn't work. I've also watched a couple movies/tv shows on netflix, and it still hasn't fixed itself.
Any thoughts?
Edit:
I do have a warranty from best buy that I had purchased. If I can't get the image un-burned, I would imagine I can easily swap it out (it's only 2 months old).
