Earlier this week, I noticed that BEI's opening page was giving the date of "April 15, 2009" with these comments hidden in the HTML source code.

Now, the date now includes a time (1200 PDT) and the source code comments have changed to these.

For some reason, I feel like I should know what they've gotten. Ah well. They've gotten more crafty with their subtle messages, I see...

Admittedly, that's the first thing I thought of when I read that. However, it could be anything. Although it wouldn`t be very frugal on bandai's part to liscence a niche/unknown series in this economic climate.

I'd thought that Haruhi turned a profit for BEI, but in any case I'll be surprised if this is about that. It doesn't perfectly fit, and it only references aliens while overlooking the whole time traveler & esper thing. Also new Haruhi episodes haven't even aired in Japan yet, so it seems rather too early for BEI to announce them. They seem more like something that we'd get in 2010. Unless they get a legal stream, of course.

Plus, Haruhi's actually gotten kinda popular. It's not mainstream but most anime fans know about Haruhi.

As for something that fits what's hidden in the HTML code (nice trick, IMO), I'm trying to think about what would fit in aliens emanating onboard. If we're going to guess what it is, we should start there. What unlicensed anime series has stuff like that?

A legal stream would fit in with everyone else (Viz, Funi)

Pfft, yeah. And Banpresto announces the American release date of Super Robot Z.
