Porting numbers....

I got a phone for an ex and she recently got her own phone with another company and had the number ported. I called TMo the next day and made sure it was ported and let the rep that I would go to the store and get the line set up with a new number. This was two weeks ago and now I looked at my bill and I have a ETF. I'm considering just cancelling it altogether and getting a Bold with ATT.

Good luck. IMO T-Mobile's billing is one of the weirdest I've seen. From my experience they contract it out to another company - that may be just their pre-paid accounts - and it takes FOREVER to get an adjustment of any kind. Also be aware that you can't port in a number from a pre-paid account to a permanent one. I tried it - they wouldn't allow it.
