This is a little weird, to say the least. I tend to get the occasional zit or infected hair follicle or whatever in my underarm area, which is not a big deal. But for the last three or four weeks, I've had this thing in that area that refuses to go away. It doesn't look like a zit, but I can tell there's a little ball of something under the skin that is soft, but still noticeable. I don't know if it's a hair or a bit of dirt that's royally stuck under the skin or something else, but I can't get it out.

Every time I give the offending blemish a squeeze, I get a lovely ball of pus. I find I have to drain this thing at least once a day. It isn't large, but I'm wondering why this zit has not yet healed. Should I leave it alone? Should I apply something to it that would make it heal faster?

SounRAB like a cyst. A cyst is actually a capsule with fluid within it. That's why you are squeezing it and getting pus out, but it's not going away. You have to completely remove the capsule in order for it to go away. This should be done by a doctor.

If it is a cyst, you are just building up scar tissue by squeezing it all the time. Go to your doctor with your concern and they will let you know. Cysts are usually benign and can be left alone or removed, but it's better to check and be safe.
