Popping and Crackling noise when bending knee in certain directions - post surgery?

Well, here is my story. I first tore my meniscus about 2 years ago playing soccer. I had problems with my knee locking and popping back into place. I had an arthroscopic surgery, which helped until I tore the same knee a second time in November the next year (2009). In late september of this year I had another arthroscopic surgery which after the first 2 weeks seemed to have done a great job. Now, I have a problem, and I am very scared, every time I bend my knee and push off (ex. walking up stairs or squatting and pushing up) I feel my knee crackle and make loud popping noises. I really don't want to even imagine that I have torn this knee for a third time. Also, something to take note is the fact that I have a lot of scar tissue build up after performing these activities (walking up and down stairs) The scar tissue causes a big bump to above my knee. Please help, any insight will be appreciated. Thank you.
