Poor signal due to trees?

My wife has an 8100 and started having signal issues in the house about 6 months ago. Out of nowhere it will go to searching for network and rarely gets above 1 bar. I called t-mobile and got a new sim card...no change. Called them back and they said they would send a technician out to check on the tower, would take about 72 hours.

I called back today to see if the tower check was done and the CSR said our signal issue was most likely due to "summer foliage". Are you kidding me??? I have Sprint and have never had any issues with signal strength in the summer vs winter.

We're going to pay the $200 to get out of the contract and get her over to Sprint.
 
She wants the curve anyway so I don't mind. I also get a company discount thru Sprint that I just found out about so in the long run I will be saving enough to cover it.
