Poor circulation in arms and hands

I have a 17 yr. old son that does not live with me. He is very athletic, his favorite sport is baseball. At school after coming in from a jog. He noticed his arms and hands were very pale and he felt numb. The coach told him that he had bad circulation and that he should include more vegetables and fruits in his diet. He just started lifting weights and such and I'm just worried if that could be the problem (just his diet)? What advice could you give me for someone so young with this kind of problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I agree with Karen. There is not much use suggesting that he eat more fruit and veg, considering the poor nutrient levels in our foods these days.
I would definitely have him checked out, just incase there are any underlying problems. It's hard to say what could cause it, because there are so many linked causes to poor circulation.
One thing I suggest would be to get him on to some sort of antioxidant formula combined with a multivitamin, with his doctor's consent, of course.
