Poor Battery Life After Official T-Mobile 4.5 Upgrade On Curve

Has anyone experienced significantly lower battery life after they updated to 4.5? Before my Curve would last 1.5 days before a low battery warning shows up but now I can't even get through one day!
 
I didn't. Make sure that you don't have some pgms running in background that are doing updates periodically or something like that. You probably have something new going on.

The wifi in the office has been on the friz lately. Maybe trying to reconnect to it constantly is draining the battery. I turned off wifi, I'll report back the results.
 
It might. I know that trying to constantly acquire a carrier signal (where wi-fi is NOT involved) drains a battery fast...so trying to do the same thing with wi-fi might drain it too.
 
My batery don't last 12 hours sometimes... But I'm the one to blame for that to happen... Sometimes I don't put down my BB at all. Lol ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
No I havent seen my battery life go down. I upgraded about a week or two ago. I noticed lately that my wifi won't connect. But that maybe something else...
 
I just recently upgraded to 4.5 for my pearl and actually have noticed a much longer battery life. When I'm at school I notice I only have GPRS and my battery never last as long as when I'm at home and connected to EDGE so connection definitely affects the battery life. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
You might want to also check and make sure you backlight settings are turned all the way down and your blacklight timeout is set for 20 second that will halp maximize battery life also

Actually, i noticed this problem after i upgraded my OS as well. i thought it was just me!!
I did update my OS and get the TMO@Home at the same time, so may be that i am using the UMA more now, but i dont really use my BB at home to talk, just to txt
whats the deal???
