I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue and recently the transmission went out in it. I just found a 1997 grand prix for sale for parts and was wondering if the transmission out of the Grand Prix will fit in the Intrigue. They both have 3.8 non turbo V6's. The reason why I am confused is that I have looked up part numbers for the transmissions and the part number for the Pontiac is 4T60E and the part number for the Oldsmobile is 4T65E. However if I choose the 3.8 supercharged engine for the Pontiac while looking up part numbers it lists the 4T65E as the transmission (same as the Intrigue although the Intrigue is not supercharged)
So I guess that was just a long way of asking if the 4T65E and the 4T60E are exchangeable???
