Pontiac, Olds, and Buick 350's?

I'm just curious what the main differences are between a Pontiac, Olds, Buick, and Chevy 350. I know that Pontiac engines are neither small blocks or big blocks because they have the same external dimensions. So a Pontiac 350 isn't a small block. But are Olds and Buick 350 engines the same way?

Also, do Pontiac, Olds, and Buick 350's have the same performance potential as a Chevy 350? Do you know anyone who's heavily built one of those engines?
 
i think you are a bit confused, the "350" means cubic inch dsplacement. Relates to how much air the engie can move. most ppl think this relates to the actual size of the engine which is false. If they are all labled "350" they displace the same amount of air. I think you want to look into rod lengths.. stroke lengths, and stuff like that. They should give yo a better idea of horsepower to torque ratings.

Chevy V-8 (small blocks) have a 60 degree v, Pnt, Olds, Buick are 90 degree v. Pont tend to have more torque, chevys tend to have more horsepower. That was up until the early 80's., now they all swap engines around between the divisions. Hope this helps
