I currently own a 2003 Grand Am as stated above. A couple of weeks ago it would not start for me. There was no sound other than a couple of relays firing. I towed it down to the local shop and when they went to start it, it started just fine. So they didn't do anything to fix it. A few weeks later the same problem popped up and so I towed it around the block and it eventually started again. Finally it broke down when I was without some cables, and so I had it towed to the shop and finally when they went to look at it, it didn't start. So they replaced a relay in the fuse box and said that it started for them without any problems but weren't completely positive that the problem had been fixed. Finally yesterday it broke down again and its in the shop at my expense again.
When it broke down, I tried starting it in Park and in Neutral, using my spare key as well as my normal key, I've beat on the starter, and all resulted in no luck. Does anyone have any other ideas about the starting problem that I have been having, because I'm all out of ideas and it sounds like the mechanics in town are getting there too?
