Pontiac G6 Stereo Issue?

We own a 2005 Pontiac G6 V6 and the factory 1-disc stereo has had a disc stuck in it for about 5 months now, it keeps saying "no disc" although there is one in there and i will no eject it. what is wrong with the stereo do we need to purchase a new stereo or is there a alternative way? btw the car has 89k miles
