Pontiac Firebird has too many miles?

I'm looking for a used car and found a Pontiac Firebird with 158k miles. Its a 1996 v6. I just need a car that will last for 12 to 18 months. How many miles can this car usually take before its done for good?

wil get you a check list to look for problem signs
never look at mileage since you can find a great low mileage car but its been drove at drag strip on weekends can find low mileage car thats never had a oil change cant go by miles my car has over 300,000 miles i payed 1300 for 6 yrs ago
not the miles but the shape ones in and really ive never had any great luck with any Pontiac's
