Pontiac Aztek-rear hatch lock is rotated and won't connect.?

Driver's side lock is rotated "closed" and hatch release/hatch lock will not reset. Best way or person to rotate so hatch will close fully.
Hatch lock is rotated "closed". Using remote or key does not reset the lock. Best way to rotate the lock "open" so my hatch will close properly.
