My husband has a fire bird formula 350. He needs new brakes for it, but every time he buys brakes they rub against the tire. He has tried american brakes and Chinese breaks. He doesn't know what to do anymore. We cant get it out of the garage to take it to a mechanic because it has no breaks. And we cant afford a tow.

PLEASE HELP!
he has the (old) WS6 package and the brakes they gave him were too big.

looking for Answer is Hard... Your husband might have a model problem ? ....
Side note Brakes will Never touch the tire.

The front caliper will touch the wheel if you install a 14" wheel over the caliper. OR if you install Aftermarket 11.9 Slotted rotors they won't fit without changing the calipers and wheels.

Also if you have rear drums instead of the WS6 rear disc could have problem...

OK... I can't guess what he is really having a problem with

PADS ? Caliper ? Shoes ? Drums ?

Parts Store should be able to get the right parts if they ask the right questions.

You say the car is a Formula 350 with WS6

Engine should be a TPI 5.7L 350 and have 4 wheel disc brakes. with 15" or 16" wheels

These NOT different than the Formula with the TBI 5.0L and front disc but have rear drums and use 15" wheels only

Need to know what he is trying to do to give him a better answer.

Shopping on line is almost the same on line through O reilly's and Auto Zone....

Pay attention to the part numbers.
