I have had this problem 3 times and it has happen every time I leave the car sit for a couple of months. The first time since it was not making a spark it was determine that the coil was bad since there was no spark. The coil was replaced and car started right up.
The second time the car would do the same thing as the first time after letting sit for another couple of months. The engine would crank but will not fire up because there was no spark. We check the coil and it was dead...well after doing some poking around the coil we got a spark. So we put everything back together and the car started right up.
The third time after letting the car sit after a couple of months tried to start the car and again it would not start. Same symptoms as the past two times. So what causes the coil from not creating a spark after sitting for a couple of months? Is there anything that I can upgrade on the car or replace from preventing this from happening again?
