Hey everyone. I had an upper GI endoscopy done back in April and today I finally found out the results. I had severe nausea and abdominal pain for for over 2 months before the endoscopy. During the endoscopy my doctor found a small amount of inflammation in the pit of my stomach and a polyp in my distal esophagus. They did a biopsy on both and he came to the conclusion that my problems are being caused by a worsening of my acid reflux disease. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux disease for several years now but it has never caused problems anywhere near the severity of the problems that I have had this year. Anyway, can anyone give me more information on these polyps that are caused by acid reflux disease?
Also, is it really possible for acid reflux disease to cause excruciating nausea pains? I mean, there for a couple of days my nausea was so bad that I would double over in pain at times. So anyway, thanks for the information you can provide!
