Surprising he was in his first role, and now I can understand what they meant when they wanted it to be grittier. It was nice to see some british wit and humour in there. Bond didn't look indestructible like he has done in previous films, he was marked and tortured. Unlike previous incarnations, they made it look like his wounRAB healed within hours.
When I heard Craig was going to be 007, I thought it might be a mistake.
However, he was superb in Casino Royale which I thought was the best Bond movie for many a day.
I don't know how long he will do it for though. There heve been reports that he is only signed up for the next one at present.
Thought he was great as Bond - brought more grit and toughness to the role. Best Bond since Connery and actually found him better than old Sean as he can act too!
Yes, a grittier Bond is just what ws needed. I thought Pierce Brosnan was good in the first, but the following ones were tripe.
Just a couple more (believeable)gadgets in the new film would be nice.
