...a 3yr old son. Is she right? I'm in the Air Force and I'm 24 and my wife is 23, and we have a 3 year old son. My mom was recently here for a visit with us. Anyway, she made it clear to us that she was highly offended that I sleep in just my boxers when we have a child. She said that its not appropriate to be sleeping in just boxers and that I should at least put on some kind of pajama or sleep pants when I go to bed.
She proceeded to tell me that it was fine when I didn't have kids or when I was single and still living at home before I joined the military, but not now I'm a father. I was not very comfortable discussing this with my mother, and I told her that she hasn't got a right to tell me what I wear to bed in my own house. My wife agreed with me. She went off because I came out to the kitchen when I woke up to get a cup of coffee in my boxers. It wasn't like I had morning wood or my wife and I were having sex.
I don't see how my 3 year old son is going to care about what I wear to bed. He is in a different room anyway, and it's not like he probably won't wear the same thing to bed when he's my age anyway. I mean it's my house and I don't wear just my boxers all day, just to bed. I usually will put a shirt on or at least some basketball shorts when I wake up, but that time I didn't. I mean is it really appropriate not to wear that in bed when we have a kid in the house too? Am I in the wrong here?
