Poll: Lower the drinking age or Raise Military age?

I think the legal drinking should be lowered because if you can go to war then you can drink but with one exception, until you reach 21 you can NOT drink any hard liquor and the legal intoxication limit is half of the current limit for those over 21. I believe that this would be a fair compromise for those under the age of 21.

It doesn't really matter in the end. An underage kid can get booze as easily as I can get up and walk to my fridge and get a glass of milk. If they know a willing person of age, (and most do) they can get it purchased for them.

i agree it makes no sense why you can go to war at the age of 18 but you can't drink until your 21, that makes no sense.

I do believe if you are enlisted, you can drink at the age of 18. You must be fulltime and not just in the reserves. I'm not sure if it's only on base but they posses a special id.
