Why not? Some companies give paid leave, and historically have, on Election Day. It's still paying for a vote.
Those that don't pay taxes, obviously wouldn't vote anyway. They're probably hiding from the IRS as we speak.
So Julie, if you're an elderly retired person who's on Social Security, and they've been paying to the S.S.A. their whole life (which is what they are legally obligated to do),
why shouldn't they be allowed to vote?
