I have now seen the whole Cycle (finally) and I have some questions for all of you out there:
1) Siegfried - he seems to be untrustworthy when he is introduced; he doesn't trust Mime, he doesn't trust the Wanderer, etc. Why would he trust a (wood) bird and take action toward all that he learns from this bird?
2) Gunther - why would he send Siegfried, disguised as Gunther himself, so that Brunnhilde would be his [Gunther's] wife? Is he a coward?
3) Why, exactly, was Wotan trying to get the ring back after he gave it to the giants in exchange for Valhalla? Was it due to an act of greed and desire for world domination?
(Yes, I'm somewhat bored, in case any of you are wondering.)
EDIT: 1) Siegfried - he seems to be untrustworthy *of others*
