Funny you should ask. We have three of the four and right now I love the Jeep.

Cars: They are the best on gas.
SUVs: Good for a soccer mom.
Jeeps: The most fun in the category.
Trucks: Excellent workhorse.

Cars. I must admit, I've never owned anything else.

All of them but I usually tend to lean toward Jeep ( or truck but mostly Jeep ) ... I live in Africa and there are a lot of holes in the street , smells and it's not a good idea to have an open vehicle ( a full open cealing ) due to robberies , animals , crazy people and God knows what ( but the poor people need some money so I give it to them ... I'm middle classed and was somewhat poor too in my childhood ... the sick people are rushed to the hospitals ) ... there are also a lot of bumps when you're driving and when you are in a Jeep you feel like you have a better view of the street ... there is some room ( for baggage in the Jeep ) ... walking is also a good choice but I don't go out alone at night ... a lot of parties and there have been numerous instances of violations ( rapes ) in that period of time ( at night ) ... taking the bus is also a great option but watch out for the crowds , odors , people and the time
