Without a doubt carpet, plush carpets at that. I wouldn't want to walk on no dirty cold wood floor before getting in my bed.

Carpet...I hate wood floors. I have kind of flat feet so it hurts to walk on anything that isn't carpetted

Wood with nice area rugs!

Rugs can be cleaned or replaced easier. Carpet is just unsanitary and if there is a stain...you are stuck with the grossness that soaks all the way down into the padding...until you replace the whole carpet. Wood is better for allergies too.
