my grandpa gave me a family harloom, a 1971 Honda Trail 90, after it sat in a shed for a good 30 years. i have got most everything in tip top shape except for the polished aluminum has become lightly tarnished. and because i am a perfectionist, i want the aluminum to look brand new.

is this something i would have to send to a shop for? or can use the electrochemical dip bath? and if so what kind of results am i looking at? and how much would this cost? i have a lot of time but not a lot of money, so i don't mind disassembling the bike and i have other transport, so i don't need it done in a hurry. but i would like it to look perfect.
